Ghosts, aliens and a very fast grandmother have taken over the Gorge. Honor of Kings kicked off August with an official collaboration with the hit anime DAN DA DAN, and it is one of the most packed crossover events the global version has run so far: three hero skins, a free epic for everyone, new minions, a Spriteling costume, Flowborn headgear and a set of themed activities that run until 31 August.
With half the event still ahead of you, here is everything that is live, what is free and the dates you should not miss.
👻 The Three Collab Skins
The collaboration pairs three Honor of Kings heroes with the main characters of the series.
Daji – Momo (free)
The headline reward for most players is Daji as Momo Ayase, the fearless high-school girl who can grab spirits with her psychic powers. The best part: you do not have to spend a single token on it. Earn Spiritual Power Redemption Coins from the event activities and exchange them for the skin in the DAN DA DAN Redemption Shop.
If you have ever wanted to try Daji, there is no better excuse. Her targeted stun and burst combo are easy to learn, and the Momo effects add psychic hands to her spells.
Lam – Okarun
The assassin Lam becomes Okarun, complete with his transformed, white-haired curse form. This skin comes from the DAN DA DAN Wish draw event, which has been available since the start of the collaboration and runs until the end of the month.
Mozi – Jiji
Mozi receives a Jiji skin built around the Evil Eye, the dark spirit that possesses Okarun’s friend in the series. It joined the Wish event on 7 August and is also available until 31 August. Its Evil Eye effects are some of the flashiest visuals in the whole collaboration.
🐱 Minions, Spritelings and Headgear
The crossover goes far beyond hero skins:
- Minion – Turbo Granny: your minions turn into the series’ infamous cat-faced yokai for the rest of the month. It costs 1 Honor Crystal, with a 25% discount on the Point Draw during the first week of August
- Chiquitita Spriteling: a free collab costume for your Spriteling, available from 14 to 31 August through the Free Spriteling Collab Costume event. Stay active to earn lucky draw tokens and use them to crack Golden Eggs
- Flowborn collab headgear: three new headpieces themed on the series’ yokai and aliens, unlocked through a collect-and-redeem event that starts on 19 August and also hands out more Redemption Coins
- Login animation: log in before 31 August to see a special DAN DA DAN opening animation
The Gorge itself has been dressed up for the occasion too, with a supernatural-themed battlefield inspired by locations from the anime.
🛸 Event Activities and How to Earn Coins
Redemption Coins are the currency of the whole event, so it pays to know where they come from:
- Investigation Event (until 31 August): explore UFO sites and haunted locations, complete missions and earn Redemption Coins plus an exclusive title
- Spiritual Power Awakening (7–31 August): a mini-game where you play as Okarun, carry Momo to safety and dodge Turbo Granny and the Serpoians while collecting Spiritual Power for more coins
- Super Flow Brawl (1–27 August): the chaotic mode is back with limited-time DAN DA DAN collab talents, so you can try the series’ powers in real matches
Our advice: play the Investigation missions and the Spiritual Power mini-game every few days. That is enough to secure Momo Daji well before the event ends, with coins left over for profile items and accessories.
⚖️ The Mid-Season Update
The collab arrived together with the mid-season update, which brings a handful of meaningful hero changes:
- Ao’yin: his casting speed now scales with attack speed
- Zilong: Skill 1 range grows with level, Skill 2 hits more times for more damage and his ultimate applies an Induction Mark
- Yang Jian: long-range damage no longer triggers his Heaven-Earth Form at full energy
- Arthur: Skill 1 can now dash without a target and be aimed in a direction
Cai Yan, Dun, Wuyan and Zhuangzi also received number tweaks to their damage, shields and durations. If any of them is in your main pool, jump into a practice match before ranked.
🏆 Meanwhile in Paris
The collaboration landed in the same week as the biggest competitive event of the summer. The Honor of Kings World Cup 2026 took over Paris as part of the Esports World Cup, with 20 teams competing for a prize pool of around three million US dollars. The grand final on 8 August went the full distance: KSG beat AG.AL 4–3 to claim the title and their first international trophy.
